The majority of the photographs presented here were taken with the manual Nikon pictured below. It has been with me since 1968 and despite being battered, bruised, broken and scratched, it still performs well. This portfolio of images reflects people and events I saw in London when, as a teenager in the late sixties, I started taking photographs. The days of the cosseted rock and roll star had yet to appear and the subjects of these photographs were for the most part interested, courteous and helpful.

Amongst these photographs are more recent images, of people and places less known but no less fascinating. The landscapes and incidental images are random; some found by accident, some made with a particular purpose.
